LTS Camera Login: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

Accessing the settings of an LTS security camera is one of the first steps after installation. Whether you are configuring a new system, restoring access after a reset, or troubleshooting network issues, knowing the default login details can save a lot of time. LTS cameras are widely used in residential and commercial surveillance systems and are often based on well known hardware platforms. Because of this, their default network and login settings follow a predictable pattern that installers and users should understand.

This guide explains the default IP address, username, password, and port used by LTS cameras. It also covers what to expect during the first login and how these defaults may change depending on firmware version and security policies.

Default IP

The default IP address of most LTS IP cameras and recorders is 192.168.1.108. This address is used when the device is first powered on and connected to a local network without a DHCP server assigning a different address.

If your network uses a different IP range, such as 192.168.0.x or 10.0.0.x, the camera may not be immediately visible. In such cases, you may need to temporarily change your computer’s IP address to match the camera’s subnet or use a device discovery tool provided with the system.

It is also common for LTS recorders, such as NVRs and DVRs, to request a new IP during the initial setup wizard. Once configured, the default IP is usually replaced with one that fits your local network.

Default Username

The default username for LTS cameras is admin. This account has full administrative privileges and allows access to all configuration menus, including network settings, video parameters, user management, and security options.

Because the admin account controls every aspect of the device, it is strongly recommended to limit its use after setup. Many installers create additional user accounts with restricted permissions for daily monitoring while keeping the admin credentials secure.

Default Password

Older LTS cameras and recorders often shipped with a default password of admin for the admin account. However, newer firmware versions follow stricter security rules.

On modern LTS devices, there is usually no preset default password. During the first login or initial activation, the system prompts you to create a strong password for the admin account. This password must meet specific requirements, such as minimum length and a mix of characters.

If you are unsure whether your device has a default password or requires activation, the login screen will usually make this clear. If a password has already been set and forgotten, a reset procedure through the recorder, security questions, or manufacturer support may be required.

Default Port

The default HTTP port for LTS cameras is 80. This port is used when accessing the camera through a web browser by entering the IP address directly.

In addition to port 80, LTS devices may use other ports for specific services, such as RTSP for video streaming or server ports for software clients. These ports are usually preconfigured and only need to be changed when there is a conflict on the network or when setting up remote access through port forwarding.

For security reasons, many administrators choose to change the default HTTP port after installation, especially if the camera is accessible from outside the local network.
